Meet The Pastor
Dr. Chuck Denison
Dr. Chuck Denison joined us as Senior Pastor in June of 2010. His wife Cindy, their intrepid Labrador, Sadie, and he moved to Stuart from the Rocky Mountains of Montana, where it is cold most of the time. This fact he rarely lets us forget. Chuck spent several years on staff with the Presbyterian General Assembly, where he oversaw New Church starts for our denomination, from FL to Alaska. Prior to his national service, he organized New Hope Presbyterian Church in Fishers, IN, which became the fastest growing new church in our denomination for several years. Chuckís books include: Mainline Manifesto: The Inevitable New Church, and The Artistís Way of Preaching, a popular book describing his unique approach to the pulpit. He has been a keynote speaker at numerous conferences, preaching festivals, and Presbytery events, and has consulted with over a hundred congregations and presbyteries.
He brings to our congregation a deep spirituality as well as a buoyant, optimistic energy and humor. He has been known to catch 587 fish at one time and has allegedly been seen walking on water. And he is very humble
Chuck is a writer, a speaker and a gifted musician. He plays jazz guitar on a professional level, writes songs, and sings like John Wayne. He loves his family, faith, life, people, God and creativity.
